Mike Roskowinski  Welcome to the community Anthony... Your story sounds a bit like mine. Was born with a heart murmur and have always known about it but they never told me to do anything. Finally I requested that I have a echo completed and found out I have a bad valve and aneurysm that needs to be attended to . Surgery was completed on May 6th 2019. There is lots of good information out here and everyone will be glad to help you in your journey.

T.C. Sayles  Welcome Anthony! I am sure it was a shock. It was a shock to me as well to undergo #2 when I was just checking that as a newly single mom, how I was doing....!!!! eeek! But, I have lived with CHD all my life, first surgery was when I was 5 in 1978! "Round 2" was Feb 12, 2019 and Dr. Starnes (USC) replaced my ascending aorta and my aortic valve with a new (cow) tissue valve! I am doing well, still eat meat too lol, and back to my normal routine with exercise and life! You will be there too! This site has been great for me and you will find people with similar stories as you and tons of cheerleaders too! We are all here for you! You got this!
