Hi Brian, Sorry to hear the surgery was postponed. It's hard to get yourself ready mentally and have that happen. I went in on a Tuesday morning and was released on Saturday. I was in the CCU until Thursday morning and then moved to a regular room on the same floor. I'm 53 years old and the replacement was with an Edwards bovine. Dr Hartman was great as well as the rest of his team. (Anesthesiologist too, Dr. Finn). Please let me know if you have any questions. All will go well and you'll be on the road to recovery soon!

Hi Brian,
As a caregiver to my late wife ( she had multiple open heart surgeries), I know how you must feel. Sleepless nights, anxiety, and constant worry. The best advise I can give you is to put your entire trust in God. Proverbs 3:5 & 6 tells us to "trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. The Lord promise in Isaiah 53:17 that no weapons that is formed against thee shall prosper; and in Isaiah 43:5 , He said: Fear not, for I am with thee. I fine these verses of comfort, knowing that God has you in the palm of His hand, and therefore, you should not be afraid. I will keep you in my daily prayer that your surgery will run smoothly. Therefore be still, and let God do His work as He as done for others who have gone before you. Amen
