Dear Christine, Husband and "Fur Babies"......
Just now read your story and know that you were scheduled to go in today for
your surgery so this is sort of a late send off of good wishes and support but please
know I mean well and pray for your successful surgery and that you enter into your
recovery period shortly thereafter with no surprises.....Also that your diabetes gives
you no added issues as well. I wanted to mention that I too have type 2(since 1998)
and found that sticking to my regular routine of testing and using the usual medications were not a problem for me and hope that to be true for you. Make sure
that you test once back home on a regular basis as once you are home you will be more fatigued for a period of time as your body finds its "balance" and it is easy to
overlook being tired while the body regains its strength. Eat healthy and enjoy your
first walks and you will be feeling better as you go! Will be thinking of you today and
sending out prayers that we hear an update when you are able that all is well. Your fur babies will be your best medicine while healing.......Take care.

Christine Oliva Steven, thank you for your message. I'm hoping my pain is similar. I think the fear comes from the unknown and particularly if you are an independent person and that feeling you may not be able to live your life on your terms plus some stubbornness or at least in my case. 100% Aries with a lot of Taurus in me. Maybe I can get that stubbornness to work in my favor. My nurse at the surgeon's office told me this yesterday straight in the eyes, turn it, you can do it as she gripped my hand tight. Thank you nurse Lauren!
It is great to hear someone has gone through the same feelings and made it through the other side. Steve keep on ticking!!! You are one strong and good ticker.
