Good luck on your procedure tomorrow-- I just had mine repaired on March 9, and lucky for me I didn't have much anxiety until I was actually laying on the table, looking up at the surgery board with my name listed. The good thing is I had to do was show up on time that morning - it was all out of my hands moving forward. I just remember them putting some IV's in my arms, I was talking to one of the doctors about the time frame of the surgery, and then I was out. Piece of cake - you got this! Good luck!

My name is John and I just had my MV replaced on March 1, due to severe MV Regurgitation and after much deliberation and watch for over 2 years…the anxiety that went with it!
Yours will be a repair and should go very well.
Once you get to the OR and go to sleep… it will be over… you will do well and best wishes.

Good luck, Dan! Try not to be anxious. You'll do fine. I had a mini-thoracotomy to fix my mitral valve in September. It couldn't be fixed, so it was replaced. It really went smoothly, and I've had way worse experiences in the dentist's office than this was. Your doctors and nurses will know how to ease your recovery, and you'll be back to your old life before you know it.
