Deborah, I've been writing and reading various posts on this extraordinary website since February of this year. There is one common thread that I believe connects all of us. And that is take nothing for granted. As a three day post-op patient for Mitral Valve repair, I stopped to smell the daffodils, not crazy about roses. My relationships with My Lord and my family has deepened. This pending surgery is a means to a happy end! Many Blessings!

DEBORAH Vulpi thanks for your kind words my dear friend...I know that we have made the right decision and feel confident in the surgeon and the hospital along the heart valve team..it ranks 3rd in the country for aortic valve replacements...so I know that I am in very capable hands...I also have a strong faith that Jesus will be holding my right hand through out this ordeal and I will be fine..
I am a much better caregiver than I am a patient..!! sorry I never had a chance to talk....but I will have lots of down time and will talk then...
Thanks for the prayers as well.
