Hi Esther, Was thrilled to get your message . I am so pleased you are doing so well. Thank you so much for your well wishes. It was comforting to know you had great care. I am still having surgery on January 5th but it is with Dr Hodges since Dr Gillinov injured his back. He trained for 6 years under Dr Gillinov. Please keep me posted on your progress. I feel like we are part of the same club. I be thinking of you. Lauren

George Gardopee We also showed up at 5 AM but we sat in the waiting room for some time. I think my wife was probably with me for about 15-20 minutes after I was prepped for surgery. I would guess I was in the pre-op staging area for about 1/2 hour or more (by myself) then outside the OR for about 20 minutes. I was wheeled into the OR around 7:30 or so and I think the actual surgery started (incision) at 8:00 AM.
