Hey Gladys. Read your latest journal and find that there is a lot of stuff going on with you. For example:
1) What are you too young not to do? That sounds a bit funny.
2) Ventricular misfiring? If something could potentially kill you, then wouldn't that be putting you at high risk?
3) Have you sought out a second opinion?
My gut tells me that something just isn't right about your last visit or I'm missing something. Oh well maybe all is fine. Take care. Bob O.

Edith Dim Gladys, I think that getting a second opinion is a very wise idea. I was given that advise, and I am very glad that I acted on it. I, also, have an appointment in Plano, Texas to see Dr. Wm. Ryan on Mar. 11. He will be my third consult, though I have already decided that I want him to do my surgery. Without the second opinion, I could not have made that decision.
I wish the best for you.

Welcome my fellow mvp sister! Like you, I had a murmur and most likely mvp from a young age that developed gradually over the years. Recently after have pneaumonia several times, I went to a cardiologist only because of a hunch from my PCP that my energy levels never bounced back. Stressed was no problem and was very good however the echo indicated we needed to meet with the cardiologist from a meeting. That first echo showed I was at moderate to severe and by the second echo and a TEE this past fall we progressed to severe and now moved onto the surgery stage...the search for a surgeon went several places and ultimately very satisfied with my decision...we had to look within our network also so that we could be totally covered, so I totally understand the concern aspect you feel. I hope that you find
peace in your search for a surgeon, this site has great tools and networking in helping you find the right one....hope we all can be of assistance
I wish the best for you.
