Thinking of you, Jeanette. That was one disheartening CATH experience you went through. I spent 12 hours in the hospital for my CATH. Normally they are a breeze. First I had a long wait, then my cardiologist made several failed attempts. I started asking questions and at that point they put me totally under and got another cardiologist to help out. Discharged at midnight for a 1pm appt. And this was at a highly rated hospital and cardiologist in. Northern VA . That said, my surgery went smoothly. Cardiac surgeons were born on the brilliant side:) The stats for a successful surgery are so in your favor. Focus on that. Ask a ton of questions, throughout, if you want. Have someone to advocate on your behalf. All requests and questions are a green light. Do not hesitate. .
