Hello Jennifer, having surgery the first day of school as a teacher must be trying. Your heart needs fixing and that is the most important thing to think about. Are you allow to teach remotely while recovering? I’m sure you will find a way to have both things done. I didn’t have to work after surgery so I’m not much help there, but I can tell you that after you start recovering you will feel so much better and stronger and have clarity about what you need to do. Stay faithful and know I will be praying for you to recover quickly. God bless you
