Hope your surgery went well. I had mitral valve prolapse with severe regurgitation. My surgery was Nov. 30, 2010. I feel great; I had symptoms but did not recognize how serious they were. My surgery was in Dallas, TX. Cardiac rehab (36 sessions) was instrumental in my recovery. I pray for a speedy recovery for you.

Welcome to the site Jim! Adam has provided a wealth of information here and in his book. The people here are super supportive, and will answer what they can. We are all in different phases of similar things- heart valve issues that some are still in the testing phase, some have done the tests and are awaiting surgery, and some of us are recovering. Spend some time on the learning center tab, it helped me make some questions I didn't know I had to ask the doctors. Hang in there, it does get better!! Take good care!

Jim O'Brien Thank You Nancy for the welcome words of encouragement. No procedures have happened yet but my Cardiac Catheterization is 11/14. I'm feeling stressed and afraid over it because I've never had to have something like this done. I hope that your recovery is going well. Take care.
