Kristie Norris Have you heard of putting in a mechanical valve for it. Everyone has told me that it is a hot spot for clots do to the fact it doesn't beat as hard as the left side. I would like to get a tissue valve to sit in the anuloplasty ring that is already there. I am scared of having my chest cut open again. The last time I had scar tissue from my first open heart that had adhered my lung to my heart. So who knows what's waiting in there. A big part of me just wants to ride it out and live the last years loving my grandson and then joining my daughter when it gives out. It seems like it is rushing to death. I wasn't scared in my last two, but I haven't slept the last two nights at all thinking about what this meeting with my surgeon Douglas Murphy tomorrow at Emory Saint Joseph's in Atlanta.
