The Kaiser Cardiology department at Los Angeles on Sunset were fantastic and you will be in good hands. I was taken care of by the best nurses ever. Just stay positive and happy. Dr. Yun is a great surgeon. He is not a big talker but he gets the job done. I remember only seeing him once when I was in ICU. Good luck with your surgery and keep me posted.

That is what I did. I kept on saying to myself "everything will be ok". You got this Lisa. Just keep saying this.

I am new to this site. I am having robotic heart surgery on October 18 to repair my mitral valve. My anxiety has been off the roof when I first booked the surgery two months ago. I have gotten such positive feed back from this site and I feel much better knowing that this is a safe surgery and I picked a great team to do my surgery. I am focusing on the positive.

Pamela Gregory I agree completely with Claudia. My AVR will be October 17th and it is definitely scary. I have a rollercoaster of feelings but this site seems to normalize the Surgery in a way. Its nice to hear everyones story and outcome.

I'm having my aortic valve replaced this Friday - less than two days now - and I'm alternately amped and accepting - grateful even that it was diagnosed early and that the technology is available and accessible.
