Good work Luke, I was active prior to surgery as well working out everyday and chasing 4 kids around. I actually ran a 5k (Girls on the Run) with my daughter at 4 months out and went well. Back to the gym now and pretty much back to normal.

Luke Taylor Hi Juli! Yes I am on blood thinners from here on, that is the trade-off with mechanical. As far as the replacement valve type, that was an easy decision as I just went with what my surgeon recommended. Age (35 at time of pre-op) was a critical factor and hoping to only have one surgery. Good luck in your decision process!!
