Marie Migliaro Thank you! Its coming up quickly! Right now I'm so worried about my 2 month old grandson. He was born with Downs and has a hole in his heart and has some breathing problems. They did a catherizationon him today, which is unimaginable to me since he's so small. I guess I can't complain about my own surgery in light of this. He lives about 9 hours away from me so I can't even see him!

In reference to your updated post on your surgery and going home alone, please allow me to state what might be the obvious. You're going to need some assistance on some level regardless of a minimally invasive procedure. Prior to discharge, you should be visited by your hospital's discharge staff to set up your appropriate protocols, (i.e. visiting nurse,etc.). Your post surgery rehab is too important to go it alone.
