Hi Michael. Had Aortic Valve replacement in 2009. Also had a Dacron sleeve implanted to repair an aortic aneurysm. TAVR wasn’t an option back then. I went with the Medtronic Freestyle porcine valve because I didn’t want to be on blood thinners. I was 55 years old. I’m now approaching 15 years with that valve and haven’t had any problems at all. When I eventually do need a replacement, I’m told that TAVR can be used to do it. Good luck and God bless.

Daneen Douglas I just received the freestyle valve, root, and Dacron sleeve as well in April, 2024. I’m so glad to hear you are doing so well 15 years later. I’m hoping for the same longevity. I currently just turned 53. Wishing you many more years to come!
Michael, I hope you find the right procedure for you as well!
