About Me (In My Own Words)
I have been diagnosed mild aortic stenosis about twenty or so years ago. The Echo was done about every 2 years, also Cardiologist order stress test. Later on mild aortic stenosis become moderate about 3 years ago. About a year ago it was advanced to severe aortic stenosis in October 2023.I did not have any active symptoms, per my wife and children they noticed that I slow down a little bit.
In November 2023 the Kaiser Cardiologist refer me to TAVR specialists at Kaiser San Francisco Medical Center.
After some blood testing they did my CT Scan. After that exam the Cardiologist/surgeon told us that based on CT exam there is no rush to perform TAVR and we can wait a little bit. In the meantime, they set up follow up echo after 6 months. Per my Cardiologist the echo of April 2024 did not show any significant new changes. So I was just waiting-
I also have some dental work to be done, they extract my front teeth because it break and did the bone grafting for implant. Implant was done on May 28,2024. Its healing beautifully.
My regular cleaning was done on July 10,2024 and my dentist sign on dental clearance form and send to Cardiology.
The crown on implant will be done on September 17, 3 weeks after surgery.
My TAVR procedure was successfully done on August 27 and I was released next day.
I am doing fine and start walking 15 minutes twice daily
