You're doing terrific; I had trouble with the same after surgery, I think it took about 5/6 months to figure out the meds for the BP. Your body has been through a major trauma and I believe takes a bit to even out. I thought I'd be"cured" of high BP after valve/aorta replacement; no such thing!! My resting pulse is now high 50's, BP normal or lower, with medication. Love how you're walking consistently, keep it up.

Hi Norine, I was following Jane Welp's progress and saw your asking if others had multiple things done in heart surgery. It was my 57 year old husband who had to have a double bypass along with mitral valve repair and the Maze procedure in the spring of 2015. Since the heart rate did not stabilize after the Maze procedure for A-fib they did electroshock about 6 weeks after the surgery. That took away the high heart rate but then it dropped too low so a week later he had to have a pacemaker. It was a miserable time, scary as hell. But today he is great. We became vegetarians too and feel better. You need to hear these stories of overcoming so there's ours. My best to you and I will be thinking of you on the 31st, send prayers.
