I had my aortic valve replaced by dr Woo at Stanford. I don’t think there’s a better facility or doctor, your getting the best. Good luck in your recovery you will feel alittle bit better everyday.

Hi Nupur... We are practically neighbors, and also just 1 year apart in age with similar diagnosis. I have found this community to be compassionate and good support in the short time I have been a member of this site. It has been comforting for me to learn that I am not alone, and many, many others have been through this process (and more) and share their experiences and hope during an otherwise stressful and uncertain time. I wish you well along your heart journey. My surgery is ahead of yours by a few weeks (up the road at Sequoia Hospital) and I hope to post along the way during my recovery. Hello Nupur, Had a mitral valve repaired in December for severe regurgitation and enlarged atrium, and feel fine. Best of luck with your surgery and hope you have a very easy recovery.
