Hi, Paul! I know how scary it could be. I had two operations when I was a child and didn’t remember it at all. Then when I was 23 and my doctor said that it’s time for third operation I was soooo scared not for operation, but for recovery. Last year I had my last operation. And today it’s my first Heart Anniversary and yes the recovery was hard and painful. But you have to remember that the pain and some disability will be just for few months. And then you will feel much better! Now I can ride a bicycle like for 6 km without stop, I don’t have some problems with breathing while I’m doing it. I started to run at the mornings. And if I could go back in time to my decision about operation, I would change nothing. You will survive it and see how much better your life could be!
