Hi Robert, Would like to offer some best wishes an encouragement. I needed a new valve, with no option of a repair. That was four and a half years ago. It was the best thing I could have done. The cardiac rehab afterwards was a great way of getting back to normal. I still do it just to keep fit.

Hi! I too, had to have a second OHS after the ring got too tight, after the first surgery 😩.i had the second surgery 16 months after the first one. This time they put a C ring, that doesn’t close. I still have leakage, somewhat, but feel so much better!

Robert my prayers are with you as you face a second OHS. I had my mitral valve repaired 3 years ago and at this point I can’t imagine having to go through it again. So I can only imagine your feelings right now. We never know how our bodies react, but thankful for the wonderful surgeons and modern medicine. It sounds as though you have a good surgeon and lots of family support. God Bless you as you prepare for your surgery!
