Regarding the California fellow who considers going to Cleveland Clinic, please consider Dr Luis Castro and his team at Sequoia in RW City. They repaired my mitral valve and fixed my A fib a bit over a year ago and did a great job--no significant regurgitation and no F fib. Great personal care.

Herb Greenberg Not sure if you are referring to me. I would definitely (and not just b/c my son was born at that hospital!) if it was mitral valve, but my situation is aorta-centric and prefer someone who does virtually nothing but aortas. Otherwise Dr. Castro would be high in my list!
Judy S Herb, Dr. Castro does aortic valves all the time, not just mitral.

Herb Greenberg Thanks, Judy. He seems fantastic. I've watched his videos. With an aorta and valve likely to both be repaired/replaced, my current choice is aorta-centric. I'm still in the waiting room so things could change! Thanks for the note.

Hi Ron, which State do you live at? My PPO will not be available to me where I live for next year. I’m thinking of going to original Medicare and will have to get a medigap. None of my doctors here take HMOs and no other insurance company offers a PPO. I know I will have to pay a lot more but don’t have a choice. Which insurance did you choose for your supplement? Thank you for your post
