Sand Deep, I had two Valve's repaired at Cleveland over two years ago. My heart rhythm never got into sink after ten days from surgery. So, although, I was not happy about it, I had to get a pacemaker.. Some good things to know. 1. The surgery to put in a pacemaker is VERY easy, and I had no pain from it. 2. Except for the lump on the upper left on my chest (it does not show when I wear clothes), I am hardly aware that it is there. I can not even the see the scar anymore where they had to make an opening to slip the pacemaker in. There is a small cell phone (only works for the pacemaker) that sits on the side table of my bed, and it records my heart rhythm, apparently my heart hardly ever uses the pacemaker..It has been in good rhythm for over two years. The recordings go to the Pacemaker department at the hospital I go to..Cedar Sinai. Would I prefer not having this lump on my chest, yes. But it keeps me safe, and it no bother at all. It does not interfere with my life.. I feel no negative effects from my open heart surgery nor the pacemaker. It took time to get my strength back, but everything they told me came true. You are at the best place, and you will be like me..feeling great at the end of your surgery journey..

Sandeep,
I’m very pleased to learn that Dr. Kalahasti is your cardiologist, it looks like you’ve made three excellent choices! Your most assuredly in good hands with Dr. Roselli, Dr. Kalahasti and the Cleveland Clinic team.
You asked about my aneurysm measurement and I can not forget to express my gratitude to the radiology department at the Cleveland Clinic. Six years ago I arrived at the Cleveland Clinic with my imaging records from Memphis stating it was 5.1 and growing. My initial testing at the Cleveland Clinic measured 4.7 and upon their review of the imaging I brought with me, it had been 4.7 the entire time. Just another reason to go to a top rated hospital!

Sandeep,
Greetings from Tennessee. Just a note to let you know you made the right call. I too have been diagnosed with an aortic root aneurysm and an ascending aortic aneurysm. I'm also a patient of the Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Roselli as my selected surgeon and Dr. Kalahasti as my cardiologist. I've been in the watchful wait period for seven years now with no measurable growth. Dr. Roselli assures me he's warmed up and in the bull pen for me if I ever need him. You've already made two excellent choices by choosing to go to the Cleveland Clinic and selecting Dr. Roselli as your surgeon.
Your in good hands,
Ken

Sandeep Sahay Dear Ken thank you so much for vote of confidence. They both are my doctors as well. May I know how big is your aneurysm? Seems like it’s been stable for a while. All the best to you! I am going for surgery on 21st. I will update you. Thanks
