Petey Bello Sharon, when I spoke with Dr. Woo he said he does all the different procedures & brings all of them into surgery so he is prepared for whatever I will need. He has an administration team that has been in constant contact with me through this whole process and I have direct phone numbers that I can call them if I have any questions or concerns. They have been a great comfort of support for me since surgeons do not have the time to constantly call their patients. My regular cardiologist was impressed with Stanford's program of support & said he wished his hospital had a program like that to help support his patients.
Good luck to you in finding a surgeon you feel comfortable with. I have found that part of this whole process to be one of the more difficult decisions I had to make.
