I do remember when my dad had his heart bypass surgery, his appetite was not good for a long long while. I do remember his appetite getting better though.
It was nice to come into work today and find a message from you. Take care and I will call you soon!

Glad to see a new posting. Don\'t be so hard on yourself, what is happening is out of your control. So thrilled to hear you are walking all those stairs by yourself. I know in time with the cardiac rehab you will be taking back control of driving and so on. The Lord has been good to you, and HE will bring you back to being whole again, it is just going to take somemore time. You are missed this week by all your friends. Ginny did leave last night, and will return the 26th of February. We are all keeping you in our prayers. Enjoy your grandkids, Carol and Eugene. Love and prayers, Marilyn

I just read your journal and I must say you are quite a trooper. In Sept I was diagnosed with moderate aortic stenosis and anuersym. I must say that I came unglued as this happened on mym 65th birthday. On Sept 11th my husband and I joined our church and felt so much better then. I could feel the power, and in Nov I was baptized. So now I do get scared but it does leave except the butterflies that are starting up. The tests are starting in Feb and then I will know. Keep up the good work, you are quite a lady. Love Linda

Hey G-ma,
It has been such a great honor to have you here in our home...you bring so much joy wherever you go :) I loved getting to walk around with you outside yesterday! We had a great talk!! You keep surprising me everywhere I turn...you felt up to go out shopping, out to eat, up the 16 stairs by yourself! Walking around a ton, eating a lot last night for dinner! You are AMAZING! And it\'s only been a little over a day!!!!!! We have a whole more week! (you should stay for 2 weeks, then you could be here for my birthday)! Anyways, I can\'t wait to see what you do next...you are an awesome grandma! I love you good!

Hey G-ma,
It\'s really good news to know that you are wanting to drive! It\'s a big step in the right direction. But, like Mommy and Aunt Phyllis said maybe you should wait a few more weeks. We certainly don\'t want you to forget something and be in an accident. As i\'m a new driver I seem to make mistakes every so often (ask mommy) like not stoping at a stop sign that I didn\'t see, or forgeting to yield to on coming cars ect. Now of course this isn\'t all the time...but it only takes one mistake to risk everything. So I think that maybe you should wait a few more weeks, improve your processing, and as you said keep peace in the family :) (which is always good). But don\'t get me wrong...wanting to drive is a HUGE step! I\'m so proud of you. Keep up the good work. I love you good G-ma :)

Hello Ms. Sherry,
I am responding to your question: Should I or Shouldn\'t I??? I certainly do not have all the right answers, but it is obvious as you said your children are taking good care of you and they want what\'s best for you during this recovery. Sounds as though you are progressing well, and I am so glad to hear that about you. Not surprised though!!! You are determined and a very positive individual. However, you don\'t need to rush into driving when you have someone that can do that for you. Be patient. I can tell you to be patient but I need to be telling myself that too. ha!
Take care and take it slow... Love, Sarah

Hurray, Aunt Bloss! Thank the Lord you were able to go to Phyllis\' and Carol\'s over Christmas! Was that Elmer you mentioned who had also had the heart surgery? You needed that encouragement. See, I told you that you were making good progress. You are impatient - like me - to return to your good health. God has a plan, though. Like you said, He is good all the time. Just \"go with it\". Love you!!!

Merry Christmas and Joy-Full New Year, Sherry, from Pennsylvania!
We are looking fwd to the next 10 weeks also...and the next 10 years of fellowship in Christ with our sweet friend, Sherry :) Ginny and I took our son, Jeb, and his family to Cracker Barrel for breakfast this morning...the big warm fire...the delicious blueberry pancakes...the hot coffee...cold orange juice...mmmmmmmm...life\'s little pleasures are to be savored - reminded me of our dinner with you and Carol, Tom & Marilyn, the night before your surgery. That was a great evening, wasn\'t it? Just imagine, if you can, the Wedding Supper of The Lamb...I can only barely imagine :) Until THAT DAY, each gathering around the table with friends and family and share laughter, smiles & joy and memories are sweet glimpses beyond the vale. Have a wonderful day today with Jesus our Lord.
Love, Jim n Ginny

Hi Sherry,
You are doing good, i am starting my 6 week post op and yes I took stairs like you like a baby, it will take time, then you will take steps like normal but be winded at the top. As time goes on it will get better & better, it took me to my start of my 6 week that I started to notice a slight different in how I feel and how my breathing has gotten so much better. I would guess i am 60-70% there. Everyone is different and you will have some good days and some no so good days, that is normal. Keep up the good work GOD is in control and he will take care of us. GOD BLESS jim
