Sophia Kampf  Thank you so much Pam I am trying to stay positive but the tears flow a little more than I want them to, I think it's more of the fear of the unknown.

Kathy Blank  Sophia- I recently found out my heart murmur had progressed and I now have severe mitral regurgitation. Thankfully, I got a second opinion since the first cardiologist said to wait for symptoms. I was in shock for the first few weeks, but as I processed with family and friends I began to become empowered and have been reading and communicating with others who have gone through valve surgery. Now, I am in action mode, making sure I pick the best surgeon for the best outcome possible. It is a very emotional journey, but with support we will handle anything we may face. My testing starts this week so I hope we can be of support to each other.
