Hey Tim, thanks so much for your support. I've been watching your progress and it makes me feel good you are doing so well. I appreciate so much you and others on this site. I still get a bit anxious but it seems to get better the more knowledge that we acquire through this journey. Keep up your great recovery!!

Tim Goff Thanks Terry. Nerves and worries are to be expected. I had a checklist that helped be deal with loose ends, don't add new items! The last weekend and day prior spent very relaxing and loving time with my family. I was comfortable with my choices and that all was in place and what wasn't would be there after the surgery. There will be hurdles and some discomfort, but nothing you can't deal with. A great medical team, loving family and positive attitude will get you through this before you know it. Terry Shermeister Thanks so much Tim. I can tell by the picture that your family is wonderful. I'm no longer married, but my son has been such a support. I also have a great support group with my friends and my church is there as well. I've enjoyed following your progress through this site,

Tim, that is such a scarey feeling when the heart is totally angry and starts beating so fast. My heart rate was about 200 beats a minute, I thought I was not going to make it!. I learned fast when my heart was not in normal sinus rhythm. It took a while to get everything calm. Good news I am off all meds needed to keep afib down. Never had afib again since leaving hospital. This will pass and all will be good. Take care heart brother! Love Mary from Michigan I am 8 months post op.

Hi Tim, Thanks for your message. I hope your recovery is progressing well without too many bumps in the road. I'm doing well five weeks post surgery...walking a couple of hours a day and pretty well back to my normal activities. I can drive again on Wednesday so that will make life easier for my husband and myself. Best wishes, Jim Kelly-Evans

Thanks Tim for the note! Hope all goes well with your procedure shortly. I have gotten a lot of good referrals about Dr Shekar, so after some work with the staff at B&W I will still keep my surgery date now with him but move my prep day.

Tim I know exactly how you are feeling. The day that I went for pre-op really made me realize that the surgery was happening. My pre-op appointment also made me feel much more comfortable with the whole journey. You will do well. I had surgery July 29, 2014 and am doing very well. I had mitral valve replacement.
