Bev Bott Today is the one year anniversary of the extra powerful dose of mercy and grace I received from God due to the many many praying believers!! October 30, 2017. During the OHS the doctor found the new valve wasn’t working correctly so the doctor had to remove that one and then to improve the blood flow an emergency CABG was done. The next day right after the breathing tube was removed it was quickly put right back in and the doctor opened my sternum and placed me on the bypass machine to remove the fluid build up and by early the next day he did the same again. He told us a few days later he was surprised I made it out of the room. But I’m not. God gave me grace and mercy. His love is amazing and I thank Him. I have had many complications since but God has seen me through it all. I have also had a very blessed year of making more memories with my family and friends.
Thank you everyone on the community for sharing your stories. Thanks Adam for setting up the HVS community.

Lori Troher I am so thankful for a couple of reasons......1. God has blessed you.....2. You are thankful to God for keeping you here...3. Everyone posts how great and easy their surgery was but I ended up with two weeks on icu and a total of four weeks pin the hospital. I am thankful that I am not the only one who had complications. But thank God I am alive.

Rob Sparling There are Heart Warriors and Heart Heroes. The two of you are the latter, in my opinion! And there are many, many (silent) HH’s who are just not standing in the spotlight regularly enough!
Thanks for the posts and for sharing! We are all thankful but ever more thankful when you remind us all how to overcome the challenges some of us have not yet seen!
Thinking of you Bev! Your surgeon was also a Warrior/Hero! The pic is wonderful! Lori, we are all a few heart beats away from a complication, I suppose. So we relish the here and now that much more!
