I'm also amazed at some of the selfies from the mini-s and sternotomy heart warriors - barely noticeable after a little healing.

Louanna Miller The scar is definitely indicative of a journey you won’t forget. My son got married 4 weeks after my OHS. I went as wore a jacket to rehearsal dinner and my scar showed. It was still quite red. About three weeks later o was at a formal dinner and had a blousevon the showed the top inch and a half of the scar. The following day 2 people stopped me and told me they thought it was great that I was comfortable letting it show.
My scar is a bit more noticeable on top than towards the bottom. It’s just how it is healing. At 8 weeks I was allowed to start using products on it for scar healing. I’m using a silicone product, Cica Care, recommended by my heart surgeons NP. I also have a scar gel, I’m still unsure which is giving the best results.
I know it’s important that you wear a surgical bra or fitted cami to helpmhild the incision together as this allows it to heal with a thin line.
Looks like you've got a great support team in place!
