David Cohen  Thanks so much, Scott and Laura. Laura, you sounded so terrific in your journal. Great role model! I had Dr. Shekar at BWH. All staff there (doctors, PA's,nurses,PCA's) are amazing. Even support personel like food service are kind.

Laura Jacobs  Hi David, Yes they must have something special in the water at B&W - everyone is extraordinarily compassionate. I hope you settled in at home okay. Emotionally it is so nice to be home, but there were a few adjustment challenges for me. The nights felt like a bit of a marathon to me. It took a couple of days to figure out what I needed to stay as comfortable as possible....extra pillows this way and that way etc. My absolute saving grace was the adjustable bed wedge my daughter loaned to me. I used it as a foundation, built pillows on top of it and around it and was at least able to sleep in my bed (sitting up). I transition to an easy type chair during the day. Things like that! I hope your first night went well. You certainly look great in your photo!! Your scar looks good too. I had a big bump at the top my sternum scar that I don't see in your photo. I am hoping it goes away. I am at Day 12 now and feeling so much better. I will be thinking of you!

Civita Fahey  Great news David. Dr Shaker did my surgery in April. Great surgeon along with his entire team. The Brigham is the gold standard for heart issues in this area. Best to you
