judith monti  Now 4 weeks post surgery. I am feeling well. Still get cold frequently which I am told is normal. Keeping my blood pressure on the high side. Stopping metoprolol as have had hives. Was reading about this drug and seems it really shouldn't be prescribed as a first line treatment. I know it makes people tired and gain weight.

My Dr. said the average weight loss from valve/heart surgery is 30#. This is bc most people are overweight to begin. I went in at 122# and am currently 115.6. I have such a small appetite and many things do not taste good that did prior. I had this same issue after my abaltion in February 2017.
