Michael Keefe That was 3 years ago to repair aortic aneurism and aortic valve. Fast forward to today and looks like they are going to have to do a "redo" as aortic valve and mitral valve moderate to severe regurgitation. Not looking forward to this again :-(

Michael Keefe Thank you for the concern and responses. Met with another surgeon Monday and recommending replacing both aortic & mitral with mechanical valves. Figured I was healthy enough to withstand another sternotomy and confidant the mech valves would be last procedure I'd need in my lifetime. Blood thinners of course but . . . oh well!

Michael Keefe Since we had an overseas vacation already booked, surgery later part of Sept or early Oct this year.
