Daniel Spurgeon We cut down our own tree two years ago, but found a black widow in it shortly after putting it in the house. We now buy trees grown elsewhere.
Paul Lupinski Wow, Daniel! Glad we don't have to worry about those here.

Terrie Syvertsen Hello Paul. Beautiful and heartwarming photo! When I was getting to know my step-daughter Kirstin at first and I was doing my best to impress her win her over) while out hunting down our first cut Christmas tree together, her a good friend of mine and I decided to make it a "Memory" day. When She quickly grew tired of walking and walking and walking among the many trees, Gary hoisted her high above his head and placed her on his shoulders where she could get a better view. She asked after a time "How do we know which one to take home? I winked over at a friend of mine who had come in search of her own tree and told her" Well it is really very easy. When we get to the "Right tree" for us it will call out "Pick me!" "Pick me!: and then you tell your Dad and your Dad will take the saw and cut it down! Well, She looked at me like the nut I am and her Father put her back down on the ground. She laughed and ran searching, in and out of the mass of trees talking to them as She went.
I walked along behind her and would talk to the trees saying "are you the one? Oh tree! Where is our tree? Finally up the yard away I heard
Kirstin yell.....She had found the tree! Our very special tree..... As I caught up with her and her Dad I could hear faintly.....Pick me! Pick me!,
Pick me! (I had pre-arranged for my girlfriend to keep hidden and ahead of her while she hunched down behind a group of trees and in her best tree voice Lured her over to it. Kirstin stood there trying to put her arms around the tree that was calling out to her and was very excited as Gary put the saw to work and quickly cut it down for the two of them to drag it over to our wagon. I will remember that moment all of my life as it was one of the sweetest moments of sharing of her childhood! So thank you Paul for sharing such a beautiful photo that brought those memories back to me! May this Season bring everyone sweet memories of their own!
