About Me (In My Own Words)
I am a 33 yom from Las Vegas Nevada. I am a Captain with the Clark County Fire Department. I was diagnosed July 15th with bicuspid aortic valve disease (BAVD) - with severe regurgitation. The only symptoms that made me aware of my condition were occasional PVC's. I am still active and run, lift, and practice martial arts with no issues but have been advised to have surgery sooner than later. I have a cardiologist but now must go through all the hoops at work and pick a cardiologist they approve along with a surgeon. I still am a little confused on what procedures I can receive, seeing that my cardiologist gives me no clear answer and I have not seen a surgeon. I would ultimately like to receive a minimally invasive procedure for my condition but don't know if I can for my condition. Any suggestions would be welcome.
