About Me (In My Own Words)
I have had a heart murmur all of my life. I did 21 years in Marines and recently retired after 17 years of federal civlil service , I've always lead an active lifestyle. I never had an issue with my heart or any abnormal heart symtoms. I've asked Doctors in the past if my murmur would ever be an issue - I was always told "not until your in your 50's or 60's" - well I'm now 57 and found out I have a bicuspid valve with severe stenosis. I'm having my aortic valve replaced. I'm grateful it was discovered. Now I'm anxious to get the surgery done, recover and move on with retirement life!
