About Me (In My Own Words)
So my story started a year ago when I had to have a second back surgery. When I was suppose to be released, my Dr noticed that my pulse was running really fast, 116 to 135. So she ordered an Ecocardiogram and a cardiologist and a surgeon came in to ask me if I had ever had scarlet fever or rhumatic fever? I did have scarlet when I was 8 yrs old and for 38 years it had destroyed my Arotic valve and my mitral valve and I need them replaced ASAP. So going through what I did with my back, I was out of work and have no insurance, so I got help from BayCare they helped me pay the surgery and the 8 day stay. Now come to find out the reason they never heard the click that sounds when you have a leak in your valve is because they were severely calcified, I would not live another year. So it was done this May. I found out that I actually had rhumatic fever not scarlet. I am now 15 weeks out and feel better than I did. That was a horrific surgery. The very thought that some one touched my heart is amazing.
