About Me (In My Own Words)

Diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve at birth. Had 2 valvotomies, fixes rather than replacements, in 1975 (age 3) and 1985 (age 13). Monitoring ever since. My cardiologist is suggesting it is time for a replacement valve. Trying to decide what type of aortic valve to get....mechanical or bioprosthetic.
