I thought I would live forever! I mentioned to my family doctor that I was suffering at night time with chest pain and numbness in my arms. Sent my to a heart specialist, had the usual tests, an ekg, an angiogram etc. so now here I am eagerly awaiting my operation.

Subject: Update
Dear Family and Friends,
Just thought I would give you a quick update and make sure you are aware of what’s happening over the next few weeks.
On Wednesday, Kathy will be taking me to Sunnybrook. Up at 4:00 am, we will arrive at 6:00am for the 9:00am operation. The procedure is expected to last 4-5 hours. It is expected that I will be in the ICU for the first 24 hours following the procedure. Thereafter, I will be moved to a ward for the remainder of my stay.
As for the recovery, after I leave the hospital, I have chosen to stay at home here in Bowmanville. Kathy and I did discuss going into a rehab facility but I really would like to simply be home. I appreciate all the support you can offer especially to me and Kathy during this time (2-3 weeks).
