About Me (In My Own Words)
I worked as a manager on Mining projects and often became very very tired walking uphill to the point that I almost could not continue. during a routine annual checkup I was advised to see a cardiologist which was arranged within a week. I underwent a Angiogram and was advised that i needed bypass surgery. I was medicated for a month in preperation for the surgery and admitted on the 1st September 2009. My surgeon was Dr Larry Rampini assited by Dr Iqbal Khan. I spent 5 days in ICU and then went to a general ward. Some time during recovery or during the surgery i suffered a stroke and was dillusional for a period of about a week. My recovery was difficult but i am now healthy and can climb hills abeit with stress. My life was definately saved by the surgery and cherish the time that i can still spend with my family. We now walk approximately 4 km's ( 2,5 miles) a day without problems. Thank you to my medical Team.
