About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with Moderate Aortic Valve Regurgitation and Minimal Mitral Valve Regurgitation in 2008. They didn't bother me and I didn't bother them. I did three tours in the Middle East as a government employee of the Aviation and Missile Command. I spent 7 months in Kuwait, 15 months in Speicher, Iraq and then 6 months in Tikrit, Iraq. Walking everywhere. No problem. In the last two years I began to notice tiredness, shortness of breath and fainted in the shower and broke my left leg and messed up my right knee, requiring orthoscopic surgery. My cardiologist has watched my closely and told me last week that it was time to get this fixed. Met the surgeon and am scheduled for surgery 3 April.
