About Me (In My Own Words)
Several bouts of Afib and cardioversions over 5 years resulted in a severe mitral valve issue which may have been causing the Afib. I was told I needed "more art than science" and ended up with Adams at MT Sinai in NYC. This post is almost 2 months later and I hope the Afib is beat.
I think i fear it more now than before wondering how the bands hold up in a cardio version.
I feel better each day but after exerting myself I
get tired. I think I have to keep up a steady pace of activity to improve. The surgery was like getting hit by a truck and really brings out my deep buried vulnerability. I find my self looking at the scar in the middle of the night and frequently running my finger up and down it.
I know the experience has changed me , I think of myself far more than I did in the past,
