About Me (In My Own Words)
My aortic valve was originally replaced with an Edwards Lifesciences MAGNA on 3 Feb 2006 along with a section of ascending aorta using a hemashield graft.
The surgeon was Alan Hilgenberg at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Now, fast-forward 19 years, it's time to replace the valve again. The valve will be replaced by Dr Motahar Hosseini. She comes to Mass Gen by way of Mayo clinic. She intends to use a new Edwards Lifesciences Inspiris Resilia valve.
