About Me (In My Own Words)
My valve was replaced as was a section of ascending aorta with a hemoshield graft.
The valve is showing signs of thickening now (it's been nearly 10 years) and now they are considering Coumadin therapy for 6 months. Not sure why. I will be having a TEE in the coming days and decisions will be made from there. I don't know what I would have to do if the valve has to be replaced again. Any experiences or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
