About Me (In My Own Words)
I had my aortic bicuspid valve replaced with a Trifecta tissue valve at St Luke’s/Baylor Medical in Houston on 23 October 2015. In October 2022 my ECHO showed the Trifecta valve would need to be replaced. I am not a candidate for a TAVR procedure.
I am scheduled for a redo sternotomy, bio prosthetic aortic valve replacement with a root enlargement on January 3, 2024 at the University of Washington. Dr. Christopher Burke is my surgeon.
I am anxious and hopeful. Thinking of all of you who have been through this and especially those of you who have surgery in your future.
I hope to post about my progress.
