May 19 2016 - Got breathless up a mountain, thought I better check this out. No other symptoms.
August 17 2016 - Cardiac echo detected severe aortic stenosis and regurgitation.
September 1 2016 - Doctor advised I should stop work immediately and referred me to a cardiologist.
October 12 2016 – Cardiologist - further tests and told I required AVR ASAP, fast tracked me to surgeon’s team and said I must cancel holiday.
October 31 2016 – Second Cardiac echo to determine if I have bicuspid valve but test indeterminate.
November 2 2016 - Pre-op for angiogram.
November 3 2016 - Angiogram – Normal.
November 18 2016 - Met surgeon Mr Alan Bryan – Brilliant. Said to skip the CT Radiography and wanted to get on with the AVR surgery. Mr Bryan said the first date he was available was 28th December 2016 but he would prefer I was operated in the next 2 weeks. Referred me to Professor Gianni Angelini.
November 18 2016 – Same day hospital called and advised pre-op arranged for November 23.
November 23 2016 – Pre-op bloods, swabs etc.
November 25 2016 – Hospital advised of surgery scheduled for 9th December.
November 30 2016 – Hospital called and advised MRSA detected and have to go to hospital to collect 5 day treatment to clear the bug.
December 1 2016 – Started MRSA treatment.
