About Me (In My Own Words)
My first heart attack was one with all the signs but what did I do stayed in bed and let husband sleep. Got up at 4:00a.m went to work as waitress but two weeks later at work it happened again. They found me on the bathroom floor having heart attack took me to ER in our small town and I was off to a larger city where they found two blockages of 98% in one and 85% in another. So off to heart caf I went they only put in one stunt two weeks later went for the next one. At this time they tore up the vain in my right groin had to go back in on left side gave me more iodine was allergic had reaction was in procedure room from noon until six that afternoon they put a stunt in my right groin. After six weeks of rehab at the end of one of the stunts closed so in again we went and this time had another small heart attack. The bottom of my heart is nothing but scar tissue. Several years later wasn't doing good so went to heart caf luckly didn't have any blockages but a virus I had had in the past had went to my heart and left my heart muscle weak after several years living like this in 2010 they put a pacemaker/defibrillator had to have a new one in 2014 battery got low. But in 2000 was when I learned about the leaky valves. So this year I had the double valve replacement. When my valves were sent to pathology it was found that I had a bactarial infection. So that was another road to travel. Got over that and went home back to where I live and one month later got an infection in incession and had a 29 day stay in hospital but everything is behind me now. So I plan to keep on rock n rollin as long as this old 65 year old can. My procedure was done at Medical City Dallas, Texas by Dr. Todd Dewey one of the leading doctors in this field.
