About Me (In My Own Words)
I had my 1st surgery back in January 2009 for a MV Repair. Now 7 1/2 years later it's time for a replacement. I guess I was lucky on my 1st surgery because I had a minimally invasive surgery - a 3-4" incision under my right breast. Of course now for the replacement, it's through the sternum. Surgery will be the last week in August.
Replacement surgery done. Success! 1 week post op. Minimally invasive vs full sternum I wish I had done both full sternum.
