About Me (In My Own Words)
I was recently diagnosed with aortic valve deficiency, and when I heard the news, I was terrified. I couldn't believe what my doctor was saying—I kept thinking, "This can't be real. It can't be happening to me." I was in shock.
They mentioned aortic valve stenosis, bicuspid aortic valve, aortic aneurysm, valve calcification, and severe regurgitation. There were so many unfamiliar medical terms and a parade of new doctors. It was overwhelming.
Once I got my head around the diagnosis, I had a million questions and felt desperate for answers. I searched everywhere, trying to find out what this all meant and what I could do about it.
Then I stumbled upon HeartValveSurgery.com, and it was a total game-changer. This website showed me that valve repair was possible, and through it, I found the surgeon who ultimately fixed my valve. I can't express how grateful I am to Adam for creating these resources—they've been a lifeline for me and for thousands of other patients who are just as desperate for guidance and support.
The initial days after learning about my heart condition were the toughest. Fortunately, I managed to document some of my feelings and experiences during that time. I believe this will resonate with the community and help others who may be going through something similar.
