About Me (In My Own Words)
Im an active person, always on the go. I work hybrid, two days a week, train commute to city. Played volleyball, & other activities. End of January / beginning February I was having a hard time catching my breathe. Was told it was upper respiratory infection, then lower respiratory infection. I had to sit up when I slept. although it was winter, the window open so I can breathe. I was always thirsty. My primary care doctor did ekg and sent me to cardiologist. Got lucky -had appointment following week. They did ekg and echocardiogram, with the gift of a heart monitor necklace. Within an hour I got a call, so everything’s good? Was told no. Asked on a scale of 1-10 how bad. 9-10. We are not sure how you are able to function. This is one of the worse ones we ever seen. No need to come back for stress test. You need to go to a surgeon immediately . So next thing I’m in the hospital getting a camera in my wrist taking a layout of where they need to go to fix this. Funny thing the cardiologist doctor said there is no way they are going to repair this. It’s really the surgeon who makes that call. It was tough to do anything , making my bed was an accomplishment and I made sure I did it every day. Apparently things were completely rupture & prolapsed. I have a video everything was flopping around inside.
I got a video of it. Apparently all the walking and exercise helped me. My breathing had gotten worse, next week I met with my surgeon. His assistant and surgeon spelt everything out as to what will be done. The hospital also had a preview meeting with me of what to expect. Since I was on such a decline. Two weeks later, I was in hospital having surgery. They pushed it up. Six hours - They repaired the value and the heart was slightly enlarged. They sewed the prolapse stringy stuff fixed the circle of the value and I can breathe. My care was good, I ended up having fluid surrounding my lungs, removed 1/2 liter out. I had low blood pressure. Tylenol was effecting my liver enzymes. I had no idea about robotic repairs, but I’m grateful for my doctor. They put me back together with titanium wire( which does not set off alarms) and glue, with stitches underneath. Like a collage project. The sutra stitches are tied tighter on the top and bottom and of course my body rejected them. So the office removed them. I’m just doing my best to find my way. I’m sorry if this is long but I wanted to cover everything. My sister had borrowed a recliner chair which I used a lot. It was hard to focus. The surgeon doesn’t need to see me anymore I am out of the window. I didn’t even know there was one. Now I’m just trying to find my way. I still see stars.. normal, I use the wrong words sometimes, normal, I’m tired, normal. I’m walking around in a daze. Normal. I’m so disassociated it’s weird.
