About Me (In My Own Words)
I am 59 years old and from Pearland, Tx (Houston area). I am a type one diabetic. At 45 years old I had a heart attack and the cardiologist has been watching my aortic valve ever since. Now I have severe stenosis of my bicuspid aortic valve and have been told to have surgery. I’ve already had a TEE, echocardiogram, Doppler, and heart cath. Now to find a surgeon.
I finally got a surgeon lined up and he is going to do aortic valve replacement with a bio prosthetic valve and an annulus enlargement so I can get a larger valve placed. I am ready to start feeling better!
