Listen I practically know all my local paramedics by name now I’ve called for various things just to be safe (maybe a slight exaggeration 😇). I had open heart surgery on 5/29/24 for aortic valve replacement, an aorta aneurysm, and AFIB. THE VALVE was replaced, the aneurysm repaired, and a clip placed on the left atrial appendage.Pose

t surgery I had difficulty ambulating due to dizziness and shortness after only a few feet distance, and went to rehab. Tomorrow I will be leaving rehab and though I can now now walk 250 feet, I still have shortness of breath and must sit down until it subsides in only a few minutes.

My question is whether this shortness of breath is to be expected w this surgery and whether this will disappear as I continue to walk and walk.
