Hi!! Yesterday was 3 months since my surgery. I'm no longer taking coumadin (yay), but still taking carvedilol. I'm not sure - but, I think this drug is what's making me so dizzy and weak. I'm trying to suck it up (because I'm alive) but it's hard to get anything done. I haven't been able to come on here so much since I've gone back to work. I'm so exhausted by the time I get home I'm shot. I know I need more time to build up my stamina - but, sometimes, I swear I get so dizzy my eyes start to spin in different directions of each other. Does anyone else take this med and have problems? Or did anyone take it and have problems? I know you're not doctors - just really wondering how long it takes to ease off on the side effects. Thanks for your input. Happy Valentine's Day!! Have a great weekend!!

Marie Myers Hi Chalah- Do you check your BP at home? Just wondering, because the carvedilol can effectively lower your BP. Maybe your BP is getting too low and causing your symptoms? Might want to talk to your doc, and possibly adjust your dose/or change meds. Just a thought...

CHALAH DiCESARE yes, I check - it's low. My mom was a home health nurse and would check our bp & mine was low even when I was younger. It was always low until my stenosis became severe and then my bp became "normal". You know - in the 120's over - idk what the lower #'s were now - but, always normal. In fact - when I was in pain and I'd go to the urgent care or er and my bp would be normal - they would think I was seeking drugs. It took me a few trips before a nurse told me why they were giving me dirty looks - she said - if you were in paid - your bp would be high. I said - "that is high for me - b/c, my bp is usually low."
I guess now I don't know what it should be to feel decent. Thank you for you help.
